McLaren have received a fair amount of criticism over the MP4-12C's 'Iris' info-tainment system which is unfortunately not fully functional as yet.
At the moment the car has no Sat-Nav or Bluetooth and the system could drain the car's Li-Ion battery if it fails to switch off properly on exit... To make sure this doesn't happen it's essential to check that you do lock the car doors and that the display screen turns fully off. So far, in over 600m of use I have noticed the system incorrectly staying on just once - To correct this all I had to do was open the door, turn it off manually by pressing the on/off button and then exit / lock the car again. It's that simple.
McLaren have temporarily halted delivery of any more cars for an estimated 2 week period whilst they finalise a firmware update to correct this issue.
